However, the exact number of displaced families, their current locations, and their humanitarian conditions have not yet been officially confirmed, as an assessment and registration process is reportedly underway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Humanitarian organizations said they are conducting assessments to determine the number of displaced people, identify their urgent needs, and provide the necessary humanitarian assistance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Meanwhile, the Baydhabo Police Command previously stated that some of the families who fled the city were allegedly linked to Al-Shabaab, particularly individuals whom the authorities claimed had followed former Southwest State leader Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen. The police further alleged that some of them had become involved with Al-Shabaab.<\/p>\n<p>These allegations come amid a tense political and security situation in Baydhabo.
